Introduction to Working with Headaches

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), it's estimated that almost half of the adult population has had a headache at least once within the past year. Tension-type headaches are the most prevalent, affecting about 30% of the population, while migraines affect about 15%.

In this introductory free distance learning class, we will discuss various types of headaches, the indications and contraindications of massage therapy for headaches, and review the musculoskeletal anatomy of the head and cervical spine. Attendees will observe easy and effective hands-on techniques with instruction to gain a deeper understanding of how to work with your clients that suffer from headaches while staying within the scope of practice.
